Place is hidden from outside and upstairs. When you enter you have a bar area with live music (jazz it was today) and in the back open restaurant area. We went in a booth in the back to have less noise, which worked. The waiter...More

We were looking for a place to hear jazz and have cocktails, and perhaps dinner. First the good, the food was excellent and served very quickly. Good selection and not too pricey. Thumbs up there. The bad, the jazz trio sounded like elevator music. Every...More

Went here with a group of business friends. We arrived at 7:00 and while the bar was very busy, the dining area was not. Drinks arrived quickly, but we were there for an hour before the salads arrived and the entrees were much later. The...More

Had a fab, casual dining experience made so much more special by a booth area on one of the quieter nights allowing the sommelier, Kevin to spend the evening sharing his knowledge with us. He was excellent, an exceptional attention to detail. We returned within...More

The cocktails are great and the service is mostly friendly and efficient. (There was some confusion about switching from the bar to our reserved table in the restaurant.) Our table for four was in one of the curtained booths, which adds kind of a charming...More

The bar is fun and full of people. Drink prices, while not cheap, are normal for San Fransisco. Cool atmosphere. Good jazz music in the evening. The dining room is not a big hit. It was fairly empty on a Friday night. There were 3...More

Party of five, with two of us disappointed in the food. My wife and I both had the tip steak, which wasn't on the online menu. Waiter did not ask how we wanted it cooked. It would have needed to cook a bit longer to...More

My partner and I ate at the Charlie Palmer Burritt room & tavern two nights ago and were thoroughly disappointed with our dining experience. It started with the menu that was placed in front of us being vastly different from what was displayed online. We...More

Came here during GDC and had dinner. The service was decent but my stroganoff came out overcooked. It was ok but could have been a lot better. The bar however was pretty cool and the bartender that was working was great. She was fun and...More

Because we enjoyed ourselves, the food wasn't perfect and the service tailed off after the mail course. Nice vibe, would go back, but not perfect, hence the score.
