This restaurant (?), gastropub (?), pub (?), tavern (?) has been our list for awhile. We selected this time because it was Christmas season (lots of walking and shopping) and it was very close to our hotel near Union Square. The menu looked interesting online...More

Came here early dinner. Had 4 top behind curtains. The bone marrow was awesome. Brussels sprouts were not sprouts - great. Had the pork chops. Martini underwhelmed / though the onion not served in drink was warm - interesting.

Seated immediately with a reservation on a Saturday evening. Thankfully, the restaurant atmosphere was nothing like our first impression of the hotel lobby we had to walk through to get to it. Our waitress recommended excellent cocktails. The roasted beets were flavorful and the speck...More

So I really loved the vibe of this place - sort of a throw-back to a classy jazzy dining bistro. The food and drinks were pretty good, though nothing jumped out as being extraordinary. The most memorable part of this meal unfortunately was how stressed...More

Place is hidden from outside and upstairs. When you enter you have a bar area with live music (jazz it was today) and in the back open restaurant area. We went in a booth in the back to have less noise, which worked. The waiter...More

We were looking for a place to hear jazz and have cocktails, and perhaps dinner. First the good, the food was excellent and served very quickly. Good selection and not too pricey. Thumbs up there. The bad, the jazz trio sounded like elevator music. Every...More

Because we enjoyed ourselves, the food wasn't perfect and the service tailed off after the mail course. Nice vibe, would go back, but not perfect, hence the score.
