I'm a local and this was my first trip here, and I'm a whale geek who usually goes to Monterey. I enjoyed the trip very much and will go again.

We had an amazing tour with Ryan (our naturalist), Jake (our captain) and John (the mate). We didn't even go past the Golden Gate Bridge. This group is very safe and doesn't chase the whales. We saw so many whales we lost count. Our tour...More

I am a San Francisco native and enjoyed exploring the bay that I was raised around. It was amazing to see so many whales and sea life. I appreciated the rangers knowledge and the safe trip the skipper gave us during rough waters. I've told...More

Everyone said that july was the best season for seeing the humpack whales, it was true there were 4 whales however our captain stayed so far from them. We were nearly at the beach! Every ship, boat or ferry went through the pack except us!...More

We had a fantastic afternoon on the water! We saw so many humpback whales there were too many to count! We saw blowholes spouting, we saw humpbacks swimming together and some swimming independently. We saw tails flip, tails splash and a few whales breach. It...More

I really enjoyed the ride and being out in the bay and seeing some whales and lots of birds. I respect that the company respects the whales and stays a safe distance. It was wonderful and I hope to go on more of these trips!

This was an excellent tour out of Pier 39 and into Golden Gate Straits. Plenty of wildlife: whales, porpoises, seals and sea lions, pelicans and even a red-tailed hawk. The crew were professional, skilled and really respectful of their passengers and of the environment in...More

friendly and safety conscience crew. Seemed to enjoy their job. Whales were feeding and plentiful even if somewhat docile.

Humpback whales had been reporting to be feeding in the Bay, so we took a 2 1/2 hour tour. It was a beautiful, relatively calm day so no one got sea sick and we did see several whales. The crew was excellent and the Naturalist...More

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
