Loved going up the De Young museum for the 360° view of the city, and unfortunately did not have enough time to visit all the different places (garden, exploratory museum, etc.). Need to plan a full day to visit everything there.

There are so many beautiful places in this park and I especially enjoyed the spectacular views from the de Young Museum (free). My favourite place was the quiet Shakespeare garden with flowers mentioned in his plays, beautiful trees and the Bard's bust.

This park is huge! Something I would have never even known was there if I didn't take a hop on hop off bus tour. A pretty part of San Francisco and some cool history to go along with it.

The science academy, is a must see, a fantastic experience for family’s, the hands on experience for children is fantastic. Having experts on hand to explain things is great. We will visit again.

There is something for everyone in this amazing park. The art museum, the science museum, Japanese tea garden, or just strolling around. It is a wonderful way to spend a day.

GGP is one of the most beautiful parks in the country, only rivaled by Central Park in NYC. The Botanical Gardens are gorgeous any time of year, not to be missed, the Conservatory of Flowers (above) is a hot-bed of tropical plants, and currently they...More

Yes it is possible but I'd give myself about 2 hours to do it and if you have small children either a stroller or frequent rest stops. Also get the bus back.

Depends how. I think to walk to would take an awful long time and please don't forget about the hills. It will turn any nice walk to a nightmare. It will cost $50 in a cab or uber, you're going across town. When I went... More

If you just want to walk around I would say it can be a day's work, when you walk relaxed. But it us better to meet the sight seeing points inside the park.
