Sort of down below in Golden Gate Park, the AIDS grove is a special place filled with beauty as well as sadness, quietude backed up by activism.

Simply beautiful way to acknowledge the impact of AIDs on the San Francisco community. One thought is to re-do the maps --- the dimensions are seriously out of whack! It's very small, easily walkable, and there's a wheelchair ramp as well.

What a lovely section of the park! We were very surprised to hear that it is taken care of by volunteers! So peaceful and quite it was a wonderful little spot to stop and enjoy during our day!

Enjoyed a walk on the marked paths and throughout the unpaved forest grove, which was larger than I expected. Many places to sit and reflect throughout; don't miss the stone memorial, with an overwhelming amount of names of loved ones lost to AIDS.

My teen didn't want to go through it but I insisted. :) It was a tranquil walkway with folks sitting, reading and hanging out on a beautiful day.

This is a most remarkable place of respite in the urban bustle of San Francisco. As you wander in this Grove, you feel as though you have stepped into a sanctuary. The woods are beautiful and so lovingly tended to, and you become overtaken with...More
