We saw Lemme and Heffernan from Broken Lizard, the guys that do Super Troopers, beer fest, slammin salmon ect...opening act was meh but these guys were great! We forgot the tickets we had sent via USPS and called Ticketmaster and they had our tickets send to the ticket office at the club! We were very grateful as we did not... More

If you pick the right comedian, you can have a great time. Pick the wrong one and it will be a wrong night. Cobbs does a good job of selecting talented opening acts and there are usually two before the headliner. Tickets are around $20, but you can often find them discounted at Goldstar. Still, there is the typical two... More

We went to Cobb's recently for a show and there was good and bad: We arrived 15 minutes before the doors were scheduled to open at 10:30pm, and we ended up waiting for more than an hour and 15 minutes before we were allowed inside. Thank goodness it wasn't raining, and fortunately December in San Francisco was not too cold... More

Went with 4 others to see Dat Phan. Opening act was extremely weak but the opener was much better. Dat was hilarious. Venue was "typical" comedy club atmosphere and setup. Nothing special. Food was typical bar food and drinks were okay.

Saw Mick Foley's comedy show here. The event was sold out but the event staff kept track of attendees and were able to get me and my friends in too. Once in there, you can look around at all the pictures on the wall of comedians who've worked there over the years. If only walls could talk.

There's a 2 drink minimum per person. They serve pub food, fries, sliders, nachos, etc. We paid the upgrade for a table, but next time maybe we wouldn't : People without the table reservations still had table space... I wouldn't pay the upgrade for parking either. We easily found parking at Fisherman's wharf, free at a parking meter after 7... More

Bought last minute tickets to see David Allen Grier. Was offered a table upgrade for $7.50 per ticket. That was a no brainer. We did not have to wait in line for seats. We went in, just before the show started, and sat up front. Great time!

We happened upon the club while walking to dinner and were able to buy tickets right then ( about an hour before the show). By the time we got in we had 45 minutes to order some food and 2 drink minimum. They had jokes on the screen while waiting so being a little early was not bad. One Nacho... More

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
