This must visit bakery on the heart of Chinatown offers a wide selection of fortune cookies, almond cookies and other treats. Prices are extremely reasonable. The fortune cookies are amazing - we ate a whole bag in a few days (and we're paying for it now!). Be sure to stop in and bring back goodies for friends and family back... More

It took me years to commit to memory where Mee Mee is, and now I could not go to SFO without getting a few boxes of their thin almond cookies. Not the 1/2" thick round almond cookies in plastic bags, not the rectangular almond bars in the case, but the paper-thin golden brown wafers with thin almond slivers, packaged nowadays... More

Have walked by this place dozens of times. My friend, the expert on macaroons, noticed a very worn sign in the window advertising them. She went in and grabbed one for the meager price of 75 cents. I had not much hope, but it was macaroon heaven. Detour back for a dozen--way, way better than the fancy, schmancy ones in... More

On a cool fall day while on a city walking tour, we ventured inside for some cookies. The bakery's storefront on the street was a cramped space with many kinds of freshly baked cookies on display. It was hard to decide what to get, they all looked so good. The man behind the counter was extremely courteous and helpful. We... More

We stopped here to see fortune cookies made, but the fortune cookie workers had the day off. So we recommend calling ahead of time! Some friends did the quick tour on another day and said it was a neat experience. The bakery workers let us peak at the machines making another treat but did not offer to take us through.... More

The bakery smelled divine. We tried a mooncake. It looked really good, but apparently it's an acquired taste. We bought a big bag of fortune cookies (the almond and chocolate varieties). Make for a good gift for the office. Something to do in Chinatown,
