About
"LOVE ALL SERVE ALL" is more than just our motto. It is our attitude, our way of life and what you can expect when you partner for your next meeting or event. Hard Rock is renowned for its authentic collection of music-centric memorabilia. While music is within Hard Rock's DNA, it also happens to be the key component of every event we plan. Perhaps because across the generations of guests, we appreciate how music, like meetings and events, bring people together for a common cause. With a variety of enhancements like the red carpet arrivals, photographers, live video feed, and interactive disc jockeys to keep the energy high, we can compliment your vision and budget. Or take a cue from more 'acoustic' Hard Rock events, and let the unpretentious vibe welcome guests of every generations and inclination.

Popped in today to stave off the wind. Have a couple of drinks whilst being served by the lovely Lady Di (Diana). Recognised her from a couple of years back, so glad she’s still there. We chose the nachos without cheese and fries just to nibble on. All served piping hot. Good location. Consistently good drinks! Only had snacks by food we had absolutely fine

Initial thoughts weren’t great as we had to arrange and set our own table. The young lady who took our order was great but when the starter arrived we requested plates and napkins, neither of which arrived. The main courses arrived midway through our starters and, despite us telling the server we were yet to finish our starters, he continued to make room on the table and left the main courses all the same. Again we requested more napkins and sauces, neither of which came. The final straw came with the bill which included obscure and excessive taxes, none of which were charged at previous restaurants we have visited in the area. Enter James Pratt. James noticed that we were deliberating over the bill and came over and explained the details to our satisfaction. He then went over and above by reassuring us that, if we were to give them another chance, he would ensure our expectations would be exceeded. I appreciate issues occur in all service industries but it’s how you resolve them that counts and James certainly resolved this one.

Ok, so we'd already walked out of the Wipeout Bar & Grill because the smell of fish was so bad in there and we don't eat fish.

So we chose Hard Rock as we've had some good meals in other cities in the USA in the past at Hard Rock.
Before seating us, the lady tells us they add a 20% mandatory service charge to the bill. That shocked us and we almost walked out of there too, but by this time, we just wanted something to eat so went with it.

We always tip well anyway but that should NEVER be mandatory! You tip based on the level of service you receive and to be perfectly honest, it wasn't. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and we still waited ages just to get drinks. Maybe that's why it was mandatory, because the service is pretty bad and they know you aren't going to give maybe more than 10-15%??

The food was excellent, I can't fault that, but to add on the service charge is just wrong. At least make the 20% worthwhile!! Can't give anymore than 2 stars in this case, purely down the principle of that. Do better HRC.

Thank you for the feedback and we apologize for the disappointing experience. We will be sharing your feedback regarding the gratuity with our corporate team. Taxes and city surcharges are mandated across all businesses in our area. Again, we apologize that the experience did not exceed expectations and we hope to better serve you in the future. S.H

It was first visit to this particular Hard Rock Cafe, and I just walked in from the street for lunch with absolutely no waiting time.
I was shown to a great table between the bar and stage, and as usual enjoyed the food and drink on offer.
The service was swift, friendly and professional.
I received an $8 from the Unity loyalty scheme which I didn't expect, so that was a bonus.
I'd imagine at peak times due its location, the cafe can become very busy, so it's probably best to book in advance.

Absolutely the worst HRC we’ve been to. Took ages to get drinks which arrived at the same time as the first appetizer, followed by a twenty minute wait for the other, then the first main meal came out - which was sent back-then a long wait for the worst non-sizzling dripping in fat so-called fajitas we’ve ever had, then the first meal came back out obviously reheated. A complete joke and then, yes we got the “let’s charge an additional 50%” bill. What a rip off!

Throughout all this we were unable talk to each other due to the cacophony created by a so- called performer. Note to management: we’re there to eat and socialize.

Badly run, poorly managed and a shoddy representation of an iconic brand. You should close your doors in shame.

Terrible from the moment we walked in.

Took 20 mins to get 2 bottled beers.

Forgot to take our food order, then 1 meal came within 90 seconds so I can only assume it was a spare or returned one to the kitchen that was sitting there drying out.

15 mins later my husband went and asked for the manager.

We got a supervisor who didn’t really know how to handle a complaint.

We told him to forget the food. We’d pay for our half drunk drinks and go.

The only good thing he did eventually on his return, was to give the drink complimentary as we left.

This place is more consumed with its image than customer service. Don’t waste your money, there are better restaurants at pier 39.

When we visit a city that has a Hard Rock Cafe that we haven’t visited before, we always make a point to swing by and have some food and get a pin. The San Francisco Hard Rock is at the entrance of the iconic Pier 39 and is an older hard rock with an open floor plan that was renovated to the newer style with less memorabilia (boo!). The memorabilia they had was well themed to San Francisco which was nice to see. Food when we visited was the still very limited Covid menu - I’m starting to wonder if things like the local legendary burgers will ever return. The burgers and salads were all solid options and service was OK. What brought this location above average was the service in the rock shop - really above and beyond to be helpful, tell us the story of the pins and show a passion for the brand!

Decided to go here for food after a day sightseeing, it is not a good example of the brand. Reception staff seemed uninterested, with ‘rote’ welcome. The area we were seated in could have been any conservatory attached to any chain pub in the UK. There were very few videos showing to accompany the music playing which is really unusual for Hard Rock. Service was VERY slow, over 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered; nothing fancy just some wine. The food was mediocre with one dish cold, obviously held whist the other was finished. When we mentioned this the manager did give a discount but it still would not make us go back. There are better places to eat in the city.
