The grotto is fairly pretty, but it's 110 slippy steps down and back up. I'm not sure it's worth it if you're not going to snorkel.

There are so many tourists going and you could hit somebody whenever you want to swim. The water is clear but there are not much to see.

i go scuba diving and snorkeling both. Both are great. But scuba diving at grotto is quiet exhausting and needs for u to be experienced.

Yes, that is how we did it. You just meed to watch the tide and stay a safe distance from the rocks.
