It is located a the North-East side of the Island. There were lots of people there. You need to walk down steep flight of stairs to enter the Grotto (Free). We didn't go snorkeling as you need a guide to enter the water (US$35-$45). It...More

When we were there, 3 big coaches and car park was full, the Grotto entry is not big and full of tourists, feel like in a busy shopping mall. On the surface, full of snorkellers and underneath full of beginners divers. Why would you want...More

If anywhere near the island's north end visit the Grotto. Our Grotto visit was exhirorating, picturesque, photogenic, worrisome, scary and loss producing all in one visit. Others photos don't lie. The water was at low tide making for exposed rocks and crashing swirling waves. We...More

ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT!!! Highly recommended if you are fit enough to climb stairs WITH FULL DIVE EQUIPMENT. But worth it. Especially if you are an experienced diver, I think you would be able to appreciate it a little more as it is a cave diving. Go...More

Too many people here. The bright blue light is beautiful, but not that amazing as I expected. If you really want to visit, go in the morning rather than afternoon.

If you on Saipan you must go see the Grotto. Diving the Grotto is the best way to experience the site.

Yes, that is how we did it. You just meed to watch the tide and stay a safe distance from the rocks.
