It's a really interesting place to go into, and you meet all kinds of people from pretty much all over. If you are planning on hiking the Appalachian trail, or even parts of it, you should stop by here.

My husband & I were visiting Harper's Ferry and while walking about, we did some walking on the Appalachian Trail. Not much but hey, now we can say we hiked it, right! The whole area is very beautiful.

Harper's Ferry is a delightful place to stroll, walk, or hike. Many of the buildings have been restored or preserved and the surrounding landscape is beautiful.

I don't live to far from Harpers Ferry so I either drive or ride my bike to the town. If you are riding you can park at the Brunswick, MD train station, about 7 miles away and ride north to Harpers Ferry. Harpers Ferry... More
