This is an unbelievable drive. There are several places to pull over and soak it all in. I have driven it twice and I still marvel at the formations.

We enjoyed an early morning walk on the trail that follows the Colorado River. While we saw more bicyclists than walkers, this trail was great for both. We enjoyed the beautiful canyon, trail and river. A nice way to spend a few hours.

Gorgeous drive but another victim of increasing tourism. Many of the great dirt/gravel turnouts are now paved; bicyclists are all over the place (and this is a narrow two-lane road with big rigs and other vehicles); and a paved bike path on the river side...More

We didn’t plan on going to Arches this route, but GPS routed us this way due to traffic in Moab. Wow!!! So much better than the other route! It was beautiful and isolated for most of the way! There were a few pull outs that...More

Many visitors to Moab go there for mountain biking. The trail and then road along route 128 is excellent for road biking. The road surface is in very good condition for the first 25 miles from Rt 191 and relatively good after that. The scenery...More

It is worth going out of your way to drive the Riverway either coming to or leaving Moab. Beautiful Scenery and tons of camping if you need a place to set up for the night.

We took Route 128 on leaving Moab for Salt Lake. It added a 1.5 hour to the trip but was well worth it as we had the time. It is a slow drive but filled with plenty of scenic vistas following the river for the...More

Nice ride, so happy to take this road since it is a good way to see the Colorado river. Our destination was a winery that had great wines.

The colorado riverway rund east from Moab or you can come from the east off of Interstate 70. You could do the drive as a day trip in about 3 hours from Moab to I-70 and then back to Moab. It is worth the time.
