If you’re leaving Moab travelling north on Main Street, which is actually US 191, just before you cross the Colorado River you’ll see a turnoff to US 128 heading east. If you take US 128 and travel approximately 15 miles you’ll travel through the Colorado...More

We loved this drive! There are some 'dude ranches' along the river that look like cool places to stay. You can drive out to the Fisher Towers for more great views. Plateaus and mesas everywhere. And hardly any traffic.

Beautiful drive through the Canyonlands. Interesting Rock structures and arches. There are also a number of activities and tours that would fit different age groups and fitness levels. A photographers dream.

This is a great scenic drive through a spectacular canyon along the Colorado River which you should plan to take at a slow, leisurely pace, plan on some sidetrips, particularly the Fisher towers if you have a vehicle with high clearance and four-wheel-drive. Also plan...More

This drive was one of our major trip highlights. Just stunning scenery. We drove west to east. I wish we could have driven it both ways. One of the most beautiful drives we have done. Highly recommend!

We traveled on this road on our motorcycles a few times simply to enjoy the ride, absorb the views, and have a lunch picnic next to the river one day. The rest areas/campsites were clearly indicated, clean, and some provided shade for a quick rest...More

Arches and Canyonland are fabulous but the Rt128 drive from RT70 to Moab was the most spectacular part of the trip. I recommend you take it for your arrival into Moab and when leaving take the less scenic 191 back to Rt70. We didn't know...More

We passed by this and it looked amazing , what a beautiful view ! The campgrounds here looked stunning too, right in the middle of beautiful nature and a far cry from the horrible RV park we stayed in in Moab!

We drove Route 128, which is about 45 miles long. Very scenic. Only stopped to take photos. Two lane road. Definitely worth seeing. Offers camping and rafting areas.

There are small campgrounds along the river, very bare bones, with pit toilets and I think a running water source. We stopped to use the toilet at one. As mentioned there are a couple really nice Dude Ranches up towards... More
