The last part of driving to the trail is over about 1/2 mile of sand that is deep in places. I was fine in my 4WD Ford Explorer, and my sister was fine in her Dodge Ram, but there were some dicey places that we...More

The “dirt” road to the dinosaur bones was actually sand. Some places were thick and then there a was a big drop off a rock. We would have bottomed out and never would have made it back up! No way we could make it to...More

Experience the remains of the Jurassic Era on this non strenuous trail that will provide you with an opportunity to see and touch bones from creatures that still captivate our imagination and scientific inquiry. Learn about the particular rock formation that these remains are found...More

We spent the day riding longer trails on the UTV's and decided to end the day with this one, and we are sure glad we did. It was great to get out and hike the trails and learn about the dinosaurs that were here. The...More

We almost missed the footprints of Mill Canyon after wandering through the trail full of dinosaur bones encrusted in rock. Frankly, I find the fossilized bones much less impressive than the actual tracks, since the bones require a far greater leap of faith to imagine...More

We went to the first area which has signs, and a boardwalk trail and about 200 dinosaur tracks. a thunderstorm was coming so we did not go to the further trail. Drive carefully in and out but you should be okay in a car

While definitely off the beaten path (take a good map), the dinosaur trail is well worth a visit. We were all amazed at the bones and prints from ages past. Don't fall for the tourist traps nearby. See the real thing.

Caution: if there's snow, check the road condition. I made it in a passenger car but only after the sun had melted down the icy ruts in the road a bit. Easy (1/2 mile each) pair of trails, well signed from Mill Canyon Road (turnoff...More

It was very interesting seeing the fossil foot prints. It is not hard to get to but a bit off the beaten path and one needs to climb to see them.
