Neat little museum

This is a very small museum, but it does have some interesting facts and artifacts in it. Came away with a few tidbits of new information.

We just happened to stop by on a free day, it was well worth an hour or so of your time. There are some hand on displays for the kids.

This museum is wonderfully full of artifacts of Moab history from the dinosaurs to modern movies. Skeletons, minerals, the complete story of the uranium boom and fall. There are pieces left behind from movies filmed out in the desert. There is an art gallery upstairs that shows paintings done by a local art group.

Took a break from hiking, went into town to visit this museum. It's located east of the information center. Price is $5pp, less for seniors, kids, military. Barbara who sold us tickets, was very friendly and helpful with questions. The museum has displays about early Moab, mining, dinosaurs, recreation, films made in the area, Cowboys, Native Americans, geology. There is... More

The Museum of Moab is a good option for chilling a bit in between the crazy adventures you can have in Moab, it is really informative and interesting. There you can find dinos, art, Moab and some of west history between other attractions.

This museum displayed a lot of replicas. It was very small with just a few interesting displays. There were displays explaining the geological progression of the area.

An interesting collection tracing the history of the area. We particularly enjoyed the short movie on the film industry and the exhibition of quilts by local artists. The museum could definitely do with more space!

Too hot to be outside in Moab on June 27th in the afternoon, so we sought out a small museum to explore and this one was perfect. Fascinating display of artifacts, along with quilts and artwork from local artisans. Provided a lovely and educational and cool afternoon for us. They are fundraising to build a bigger museum and i hope... More

A small but informative collection of the beginnings of the town. Lots of Native American history of the area.

Stopped in while out on a walk - this is very close to Moab Coffee Roasters. Well worth the time to stop and visit. Closed on Sunday's - no admission fees on Monday. Interesting exhibits and some local culture.

1 Thank Tom B
