Needles outpost WAS an awesome spot, and still is as it recently got auctioned into private hands to stay protected and wild and free forever. The garlic burgers were epic, we would spend $200 in airplane fuel to fly here for lunch back when the...More

What a great place to visit. We found that even during busy times we were able to travel around. Although there were very few parking spaces in the mid afternoon.

Saw this as we drove upon it, stopped and took the short hike up and it was great! It's on the side of the highway, it's free and totally as amazing as any arch in the National arches that you pay for to go see....More

Many folks don't take the time to drive down to this end of the park, but the vistas are absolutely worth it. Visitors center sufficient, but the walks and views are what you are here for, amazing!

Didnt know what to expect but the road into the Needles (which are spectacular on their own) is an amazing drive through a deep valley with some spectacular cliffs towering around. Awesome.

Well worth packing up a lunch and some beverages and heading out on the road to see the many beautiful sites. Spectacular views along the way with well marked areas to pull over for photo opportunities.

Drive here to backpack for two nights. It was hot and you need to carry all your water with you, but wow was it beautiful. So glad I went to see Needles.

This is definitely the road less traveled in the Canyonlands National Park area, but well worth the adventure. For the last half of the 26 mile drive to get to the park from US 191, you'll be surrounded by beautiful sandstone mesas, buttes and the...More

You need to drive around the park, away for island in the sky to access this area. Not as congested, at least in May 2017, than island in the sky area. There are NO services, no toilet, ( hole in the ground potties), no place...More
