This was the longest drive of our trip. We stayed in Moab and traveled here first. The sights were breathtaking! Take your time and stop along the way. Easy hikes. Enjoy the beauty of the Creator!

Don’t miss the needles district. Drive the road and stop at Newspaper rock to see the rock art. Continue on to the ranger station and get information about hiking. Take a hike here for sure. Be careful hiking in summer here due to the extreme...More

The driver of the car will have no trouble staying awake on this road—each turn brings a new well-composed view. Anywhere you point your camera will yield an interesting photo.

On the way to Needles, there are a few stops ton the way to break up the travel: Newspaper Rock, Hole in the Rock, and Wilson Arch.

Another must see in Utah, so close to home and just south a bit from Moab. Worthy to go through this area..... It won't be sorry!

Canyonlands is a must see, you won't regret it at all. So many amazing things to see here. It is so beautiful.

Only go to Needles if you are planning to camp out and do a lot of hiking. The rewards for day-tripping car drivers are not many. There is the wooden shoe arch which is cute but hardly worth it. I do recommend taking the road...More

PS if you do the drive to Canyonlands Needle --- make sure your gas tank is full! And bring water/snacks.
