This is a delightful nature preserve. I like it better than going to Great Falls National Park because it is easy to get in and out of the parking lot (which unfortunately is too small), and you don't sit in traffic like you will at...More

A great escape to hike and set your eyes on beautiful sites and views. Not a difficult hike, so for people who haven't regularly gone hiking, this is perfect.

The first challenge is finding parking in this real popular hiking trail. If you are able to park enjoy, relax and do not be in a hurry. This preserve goes to the water. Amazing views.

A favorite spot in the spring, early in the morning when the crowds are still sleeping...wild flowers and birds make the experience peaceful and rejuvenating .... the dogs sniff every inch of the trails...deer and fox are local residents.

Close to residential neighborhood known as safe crime wise. Beautiful streams and adjacent to the great Potomac river....More
