Scenic, easy stop off the highway while driving to Bandelier Nat'l Monument. View of the mountains, colorful hills, river and a thin waterfall. Especially impressive with fall colors along the river bank during early November.

Just down the road from the Bandelier Visitor Center, White Overlook Park is a must stop for anyone going by. Just park and take the short path to the lookout for an amazing view of the Rio Grande. Awesome.

A great view and well worth a visit, although 10 minutes will probably cover all that's worth seeing. We stopped on our way back after visiting Bandelier.

Stopped here on the way to Bandelier. Amazing views of the river and mesas. Not in the least bit crowded, with nearby park facilities (washrooms, drinking fountains, picnic areas, etc).

They are presently repaving part of the route between here and Santa Fe. That section will be smooth. Big trucks often use the route you will be taking. It isn’t until you go up into the Jemez Mts. Which is further down the... More

I don't think so. From what I remember, we saw so much, it was a small area like a local park with just a path overlooking the scenery. I would look at the Los Alamos visitor website which Trip Advisor won't let be type in... More
