If you are in the area definitely worth the stop! Easy drive, park and walk to amazing overlook of the White Rock area. We spend the day at Bandelier National Monument and stopped here afterwards. It's less than 1 mile from the visitors center. Beautiful views and it was free!

This place is quick easy and beautiful. You can stay as long as you like or be there for ten minutes. The view is amazing. There is a bathroom if you need it and plenty of parking but that is about it.

There is a walking path in the park , but most people just enjoy the view from the lookout point for a few minutes. It is a worthwhile diversion only about 5 minutes from the highway.

Took the kids to view the gorge and Rio Grande river. It was perfect, short walk before soccer fun beside the parking lot, got them running and they loved the views. Big WOWS!

This fantastic viewpoint is where my son proposed! She said "Yes", so I guess that tells you something. In addition to viewing the spectacular Rio Grande gorge, there are hiking trails for the very intrepid. The overlook is at the end of a huge park where you can watch a soccer or baseball game, enjoy a picnic, play at a... More

If you are driving to Los Alamos or Bandalier National Monument, this is worth a 5 minute stop for a great panoramic view. It looks like something out of a Western movie.

I am a local, and I only live 1.5 miles away from this beautiful Overlook. If you are visiting Los Alamos, I truly believe it would be worth your time to drive the short jaunt to White Rock for this experience. TAKE A CAMERA! To get here, go down the scenic Main Hill, and turn right when you see the... More

I often stop here for lunch on my way to the Jemez Mountains. The parking is easy and the overlook itself is very accessible. There is a side walk and the walk is only a few yards. There are great photo opportunities and when quiet, you can hear the waterfall off the side. It's only a few minutes from the... More

Unfortunately, sometimes, there's a litter problem. It's still a beautiful tucked away spot to enjoy the beauty of the area.
