This is one of the iconic locations at Big Bend and fairly easy to get to by car but it is about 2 miles down a gravel road. The road is passable with pretty much any car, I did it in a VW Passat, but...More

Worth going. There is pictographs on the way to the springs. Water temperature is 105F. Great after all the hiking.

The Springs offer a great spot to some a relax after a long day of hiking. Once you've had enough of the hot water (if it is a hot day) you can jump into the Rio Grande behind the springs for some cool water.

The total round trip hike was only 1/2 mile. The river conditions were shallow and the current, while somewhat strong, was still accessible by young children without the use of a lifejacket. The sand is hot on bare feet, and the river has some rocky...More

Heed the warning that over sized vehicles can not pass on the road. The narrow road just adds a little excitement. The hot spring bath is old but the water is clear. It was interesting to see the old hotel and store from a busier...More

It's a nice walk to the old Langford hot springs on the Rio Grande River, past a few old historic buildings. This is a well travelled path. You're more than likely going to share the path - and the bath - with a few other...More
