What a joy it is to wander from gallery to gallery enjoying a wide variety of styles, techniques and types of art. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. Not sure how we made it out of town with only a couple of purchases. Make a day...More

There are a number of shops. Many have things that were not made by them. Some others were real artists selling their wares.

Looking for something to do, we went to the River Arts District. It is a bunch of what looks like abandoned buildings along a railroad track. Didn't really know what to go into. Tried a few but was weird strange stuff. Nothing really to see...More

A wonderful way to spend the day, especially if you're a photographer. Colors, patterns, fascinating architecture, warehouse studios, artisans, crafts people....it's just a joy. Pretty spread out so get a map, and pick a bright day, because the tagging of the buildings will dazzle you....More

We have been able to visit a few of the studios in this district. Because the buildings are scattered around the arts district, it's best if you start with a map and familiarize yourself with the area - you probably will get more out of...More

It was great to get to see artists actually painting or throwing pottery. And then see their finished pieces. They were also happy to talk to you about their work and the local area. If you have time, take a class at the glass making...More

We really enjoyed talking to the artists and seeing the array of art. You can see as little or as much as you feel like, worth a visit.

We took an 11 yr. old boy, 9 yr. old girl and 9 month old to the River Arts District. The glassblowing demo was good, although she could have spoken louder. My granddaughter is wanting to try a lesson! The lack of actively demonstrating other...More

It’s fun just to browse at the various shops in the RiverArts district, and there are many good pieces for sale. Odyssey Clay Center has some real bargains.
