Guinness Stew on a cold day...

The Guinness stew is a filling and satisfying lunch, chucky veggies and mashed potatoes, on a cold winter day... paired with a local beer it is the best : )

Not a very friendly staff! We were downtown and looking for a dive. This place was it. They had some locals playing Irish music (it was pretty cool). We ordered a scotch egg and a couple of beers. I have to say it was different, but good (8 bucks was a little strong for pricing). We might stop back here... More

We visited this place Thursday night after an event. We had great martinis & beer. Great selection of liquor & beer. Food was pub style and good. There was a 4 piece string band of young men, who were awesome. They look like they just finished up on the farm, jumped in their truck and made a few bucks strumming.... More

We went here on a Thursday. There was live blue Grass and the band was terrific. We had the vision nachos which were quite good. Great beer selection on draught and good bar tenders. Go on Thursday and enjoy.

Liked this spot until they screwed up our bill then treated us like dirt after we paid--added drinks we didn't get and a lot of them. I thought it was just a snafu but they got real defensive. Went back many times after that but were treated badly each time so I didn't tip unless they acted mature--girls always were... More

Good variety of spirits and nice cocktails. Typical pub food but executed well. Often busy due to great live music. Worth a visit if you want a low lit chill.pub atmosphere.

Stopped by on a Thursday around 6:30 for a beer. This isn't a brewery but they serve beer. I had a nice Blowing Rock Stone fruit and my boyfriend had the Brevard IPA. We enjoyed them. But the bartender wasn't too friendly. Another patron asked a question about the beer selection and he said "I don't know. I don't drink... More

Nice little craft beer pub in downtown Asheville. Good beer selection. Nice, intimate venue for live local bands. They keep it eclectic, jazz to bluegrass. Pub grub is good quality as well.

Granted, this time of year is busy for the folks downtown and at Jack of the Wood. Regardless it's no reason to be jerks. Would not visit here again.

This is a really great place to listen to music. It’s just a truly fun, laid-back bar with an excellent beer selection.
