Walking around the city can get boring for kid something but the cit has come up with a map and different items around the city which made it fun for our kids. It was like kids were searching the city while the adults were enjoying the sites.

I've now done this self- guided tour twice with different family members. Very nice low- key way to learn about Asheville while stumbling upon local businesses.

I had a 1.5 hour stop in Asheville. Instead of stopping at a roadside rest area, I pulled up an urban trail map online and practically ran through the town. Even had lunch at a great restaurant on the trail.

We're in our 70s, but the walk of probably 1 1/2 to 2 miles wasn't tough. It takes a meandering and roughly circular walk through downtown Asheville. It was definitely up-and-down-hill, but not exceedingly so, as long as we didn't push for speed. There were enough stops to read the mapped bronze plaques and look at the buildings that the... More

Some things were tough to find but overall we got most of them. It took us by neat shops to stop in to as well.

This is a nice walking 'trail' which winds around the city with sculptures and wall art that shows the history of the town. Very interesting even though we weren't able to do it all due to a heavy downpour.

We enjoyed finding the plaques and decorative art along this historic trail. In the process I learned a lot about Asheville past and present. For example why are there double wooden doors on buildings in the old market district? The trail is a good work out.

This is a great walk for couples, families, all ages. We found it really opens up the city to us, we found a lot of places we didn't know about.

The weather was great so we really enjoyed the statues. The sidewalks were wide enough. We saw lots of beautiful flowers also.
