The Arboretum has a great mix of formal gardens (the Bonsai Exhibit is not to be missed) and natural walking trails that take you into the surrounding Pisgah National Forest. Take your time and enjoy everything they have to offer.

It is a nice place to go for a hike. Their gardens are really well kept, the bonsai area well done. We did not see many butterflies but we will keep trying. Their membership price is reasonable

I'm a landscape designer and master gardener. This is a must stop for any plant enthusiast, bug-lover, or artist. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back. The water features, sculptures, bonsai exhibit, quilt garden, etc., were amazing!

Thanks for reaching out and we look forward to having you! All facilities will be open in April (including the Baker Exhibit Center). Most hiking trails are dirt/gravel and the gardens are wheelchair accessible.
