We visited the Asheville Visitor Center shortly before 10am in order to purchase tickets for the Hop On - Hop Off tour. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were clean and the gift shop had a nice selection of merchandise.

This location is a good starting point to visiting Asheville. The parking is free so if you want to walk around downtown from this point it's a great option.

Do not forget to quiz the caretakers of the fantastic history both of man made and of nature in the area. There is so much to explore. Really nice kept trails are all the mountain trail.

Enjoyed this visitor center--very nicely appointed with a great gift shop and amenities. We parked here for the trolley tour and took advantage of the brochures. The outside garden area is also a wonderful area for photography with some whimsical sculptures and beautiful landscaping.

Great visitor center. We originally went here to begin our trolley tour. Free parking and very helpful people. One day we parked here and walked into Asheville - very walkable city. Center is easy to get to as well

Start here to get information about Asheville and the surrounding area. The people were very helpful in where to go and what to see. You can also purchase tickets and start the hop on hop off trolley here.
