McCormick Field opened its gates for the first time in 1924 when the Asheville Tourists played host to the Detroit Tigers. Over the years the stadium has encountered numerous renovations, most recently a seating bowl makeover in 2015, that has ensured the stadium remains up with the times while keeping its lustrous history and throwback feel. With a capacity of just over 4,000, the dynamic during a game is intimate and scenic. It is a hitter friendly Minor League ballpark thanks to a short porch in right field and a 42-foot high wall in right-center. McCormick Field is still inhabited by the Asheville Tourists, the Single A Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

Not being brought up with baseball and knowing little about it I really appreciate being able to watch a game from close-to for less than $10. There is also reasonably priced food and drink available on site. If you're in town on July 4, this...More

Great park. Great setting. Great Beer. A must see for all sports fans. Tickets are cheap and I wouldn't worry about a sell out. You'll get in.

No its not Wrigley field or the major leagues but is the players trying to get there. Enjoyable family atmosphere of southern baseball. They do events and special nights. Facility may seem more like a college baseball facility but quite acceptable. Definitely up close and...More

McCormick Field has really done a great job 'overhauling' its stadium. Good seats, good food, fun games/activities, lots of audience involvement, and interesting events/giveaways.

We were going to be in town, so we bought tickets ahead of time. Heck, where else can you see good, professional baseball in the front row for $12? We were not disappointed. I was, however, surprised to see the Umpire Crew working a two-man...More

There's always something special for kids there. On Sunday's the kids get to go on the field, meet the players and get autographs. Sometimes there's more. Show up early for more chances at special things going on.
