It's tough to be pleased after many tastings and tours in Napa. The Biltmore wines are pretty good but even at the Premium Tastings the hosts seem shallow in knowledge. More the usual repeat of the wine descriptions in the program. We did purchase some and it was helpful to taste before we went to dinner next door.

It was a very nice addition that a wine tasting was included with our admission to the estate. The wines we tasted at the tasting bar were wonderful and the shop at the winery was lovely. However, when we returned home and opened the wines that we had purchased based on our tastings, they were awful! They tasted nothing like... More

We enjoyed the cool walk down into the Winery with neat displays along the way. The winery was bustling and busy, but the line for the free wine tasting moved along fairly fast. The tasting was extensive and we really appreciated that they took time and didn't just rush us through.

Our week at the Biltmore Estate and surrounding shops, restaurants, and facilities was spectacular! I don't know how else to describe it! Every place we went, everywhere we ate, every person who helped or served us...ALL were spectacular! George Vanderbilt would have been pleased!

Had a wine tasting with a wonderful gentleman, however, some guests were late and brought children to an over 21 tasting. As a result, the event was rushed. We mentioned it to Sean Wilton and he took fantastic care of us! Thank you Sean, for making wine out of our sour grapes!

Had a wonderful tour in the reserve tasting wine bar and Sean Willborn was fabulous with us. We had a lovely evening of wine cheese and chocolate! Highly recommend this winery and the special treatment of the extra tastings. Well worth the money! Marcia is lovely!

Winery tour was nice. Loads of things to purchase in the shop. Able to find unique items. Point was a wine tasting. Not an expert at wine tasting but had an enjoyable time. My only concern was everyone we encountered representing The Estate was very friendly. However, the person pouring the wine ( see I don't even know what they... More

The walk up to the winery from the Village hotel is quite intriguing. You walk up a stone walkway into a building. The hallways are lined with stone, with curves and exhibits to look at and read along the walk to get inside the winery. Very interesting to read about it before getting inside. Once inside I was in awe.... More

They grow some of the grapes onsite as well as buy grapes and vint and bottle on the estate. There were some good wines but no exceptional ones. You can buy wine and other items in the store. It is worth the visit. Enjoy!!!

Great experience. Loved being able to taste quite a few different wines. Was glad that they offered grape juice for those underage or not wine tasters. Shop was well stocked and loved the fact that they had samples of some goodies sitting out to try.
