There was a handy, informative guide/map at the front gate. From there I walked to the graves of photographer George Masa, artist Kenneth Noland, O’Henry and Thomas Wolfe. Also visited another headstone that stated ‘Killed by a desperado’. Well kept grounds, quiet, nice trees.

We love visiting cemeteries when we are traveling because they contain history of the area. This is a lovely one to visit even if you only have time to drive through.

We like to visit interesting cemeteries where famous local people have been buried. Riverside is blessed with both Thomas Wolfe and O. Henry. Not the easiest place to find if you don't have GPS, but a wonderful map is provided at the gates.
