This birding trail is obviously important to it's home community, as it is very well maintained. I spent 2-3 hours there this morning and thoroughly enjoyed my time. It was easy to locate and I was thrilled when I spotted a big group of Cedar...More

Wonderful to run or walk loops. Both trail and sidewalk, around lake. Very unique lake. Some nice homes. Some woods. Wildlife. Birds. Not too crowded but will see people. Only reason it got 4 and not 5 stars is parking- but there are several areas...More

Love visiting this sanctuary, made possible by the Wolfson family years ago. This is the original site of Beaverlake Club House. You may not walk your dog in this area or around the lake without paying a sizeable fee..

In addition to a hard packed dirt trail circling Beaver Lake, the Bird Sanctuary has very nice decking and boardwalks through the Sanctuary. The local Audubon bird club is always improving this area.

I went in the winter, so there weren't too many birds around. It was a nice little stroll outside on a wooden walkway for a warmer winter day. It is not too long of a walk.

You never know what you will see here, but that is part of the delight. The short walk through wetlands, lakeside and woods provides a variety of habitats. Plenty of benches mean even those who need to rest often can enjoy a visit. There is...More

Though smallish, it is a pleasant place to take a walk and though it is near a road, it still feels like the countryside.
