The Legendary Green Man has existed for centuries but it’s no myth that he’s been brewing great beer in Asheville since 1997. As home to one of North Carolina’s oldest breweries, tasting rooms and sour programs, Green Man has been producing some of...more

They have an IPA named after Van Halen. It's absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and the layout of this location is a must see.

We visited during a rainstorm in Asheville. The third floor patio was nice to watch the rain and breathe the fresh air. Beer was solid, wish that there was more of a draft IPA selection. There are a few breweries in this area, so it’s...More

Hey there, Thanks for your visit and the kind words. If only you visited two weeks ago we had another 2 or 3 IPAs on draft. Thanks again for visiting us and we hope to see you again!

Nice place. By the main street. Up hill is the place where locals drink and a small parking lot. Two IPAs on tap. Cool stickers.

A highlight of our recent fourth visit to Asheville, NC, and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina was an intimate and insightful tour of the Green Man Brewery. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and the beers and ales we sampled were refreshing....More

I came here with a couple of friends in a Thursday night. It was really rainy outside so I surprised we didn't see more people. We stayed on the first floor and based on the other reviews maybe everyone was upstairs. The beers were very...More

Contrary to hours we saw online the brewery was open when we walked by. I enjoyed the fact they had a variety of beers on tap. The staff was great and we could select some bottles or large can versus a growler to take home.

Just wanted to grab a beer before lunch and ran across the smaller Green Man bar just around the corner from the main Brewery. April was amazing and actually held our purchased beer we were bringing home until we toured a little of the city...More

Granted it was a Saturday evening, but after walking up three flights of stairs we were hoping to quench our thirst. Standing room only at the bar. We waited waited waited to order then got the wrong beer. Oh well - nice thing about Asheville...More

We were visiting Asheville to do some hiking and visit breweries. We are big beer lovers and visit beer towns atleast once a year for vacation. We were disappointed in both the beer and service. Staff was not very friendly or helpful.

While we enjoyed the information from Jeff, the tour was a disaster. They advertise to meet at the Large table, but it had people who had ordered food upstairs and they took over the table. They were talking while Jeff the tour guide was talking....More
