When I went to the ICA I thought it was going to be good. instead i got ripped off. The admission was expensive and bad. There were 5 floors but only one was actually used. On that floor there was only 10 pieces and they...More
The ICA offers interesting and edgy exhibitions. It’s permanent collection is a mixed bag, and most of it is not on display because of the curious design choices which resulted in the Art only being displayed on a single floor of the building.
Gave us insight into new and different ideas in the art world. Our Families favorite was an area where a producer was looking for ideas from visitors for costumes . The idea was for participants to think of anything that comes to mind and make...More
Having slagged off an appalling exhibition at the Guggenheim in NYC on TA a couple of days ago, I found myself in Boston visiting the IcA. And what a total treat that turned out to be. I was surprised, I smiled and I laughed, which...More

Visited during an event which included a live band, performance art, a bar (pay, not free) and of course, art! It was incredibly well attended and the crowd were all nice folks. Great gift shop, too. Interesting elevator in a glass enclosure.
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning
deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
