There are several and continuous little parks through all the area, with a lot of art scenery and places where you can sit down and breathe fresh air far away from streets and noises.

Great improvement over the elevated rail line that this replaced. The line essentially split the city, which was a shame. Too bad the corruption, huge overruns and continuing problems with the "big dig" that created this and put the rail and highway underground somewhat tarnish...More

The revamped freeway system (i.e. demolished and put under the city) has opened up the seafront, the North End and the heart of Boston. Lovely gardens running all along the main street along the waterfront. Beautiful and makes the city so much more appealing.

I remember before the big dig what that area looked like. Now its basically a park! What a difference to the city and the atmosphere it brings!

This is a beautiful stretch of greenery on the fringe of the downtown area in Boston. There's some interesting sculptures based around mid-century neon signs, as well as a beer garden, which I think is seasonal.

Wandered down here from our hotel on a Friday and was pleased we did. Quiet, safe and pleasant. Went again on Saturday and it was a different place - noisy, but again safe and vibrant. Loved it

I have visited Boston so many times I can no longer count them. I still love to visit The Greenway. It's quiet and peaceful if you want. I can also be fun as many events are hosted there. This is one of the few places...More

The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a jewel in Boston. Surrounded by skyscrapers, it is a beautiful and interesting walk. Halfway around is the Trillium Beer Garden, open during good weather. Pouring fine Boston beer, it is always full of adults, children and dogs with a...More

Creatively designed green area - very pleasant to visit - try the adult double swings! We walked through the part several times during our 3 days in Boston - each time seeing something different.

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

As the others have said, the sculpture, which is suspended high in the air by wires that are barely visible, can be viewed 24/7. A bright sunny day really brings out all the different shades of blues, oranges, etc. On windy... More
