I know, everyone has seen the movie or the play somewhere, but never in so intimate a setting as the Lyric Stage in Boston. Do you have any trepidation of the cast being reduced from around 45 to 16? Don't be. These are superb performers...More

Was hesitant about spending 2 1/2 hours watching a musical on prisoners who were being tortured, but although it's a dark theme the production was terrific. The Spider Woman brought little that was special to her role, but the production was otherwise first class. Special...More

Was fortunate to catch the opening night performance of Kiss of the Spider Woman. The theater is very intimate and seating is very close to the stage. The production itself was highly memorable and I look forward to returning to see other shows. Highly recommend!

Went to see "Road Show" at Lyric Stage. Came to Boston only to see the show. Was able to stay at 140 Hotel which conveniently was the same building that houses the theatre. We were coming off a few days in New Hampshire where it...More

It was our first time at the Lyric Theater and we loved the small intimate venue. The play "Road Show" was OK. It could probably have been better as a drama than a musical.

Roadhouse...not one of Sondheim's best endeavors but entertaining nonetheless. Lyric always does a good job providing excellent production and an entertaining evening.

Spiro Veloudas, who directs the Lyric Stage has a genius for putting on Sondheim. Road Show is just the most recent example. The lyrics by Sondheim, as always, are remarkably subtle. The staging was impressive. The underlying story, about the talented by sleazy Mizner brothers,...More

If we lived here, we would have memberships in this theater if tonight was an example of productions. Michael Hisamoto, playing Gordon Hirabayashi, did a one act, 100 minute play about the illegal internment of Japanese and Japanese-Americans after Pearl Harbor. He provided voice for...More

We went and saw Gypsy last night. The performance was incredible!! This is a small intimate theater with a great group of talented actors. We were close enough to feel like we were right on stage. We will definitely consider becoming subscribers.

I live nearby and so much appreciate having this outstanding small theatre near me. Go to see nearly all their shows. The theatre is intimate and the acting excellent. Very interesting and diverse choice of shows they do. Highly recommend!
