We made a special trip to Boston to visit the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial located right across the street from the MA State House. It was worth all the effort to see this monument honoring the brave Colonel Shaw and the 54th Volunteer Infantry Regiment. This all African-American regiment fought for the North enduring incredible hardship and ultimately sacrificing most... More

We were fortunate enough to luck into a private tour, and had a great time. Our guide was immensely informative, and great with all of our questions. It was a great experience to learn about the political and ethnic conflicts that shaped the war just as much as the actions on the battlefield; I highly recommend this tour.

This a wonderful walking tour. I have lived here my whole life and never knew half of what I learned on this tour. I always think of Boston and the Revolutionary War. It was great learning about the impact my city had on the Civil War. I would recommend this for any history buff. And its a great way to... More

Mom and I totally lucked out and were able to enjoy our tour as a Private tour. The joys of "low season". Our guide was so knowledgeable and his presentation was extremely well done. I can not think of anything but how good of the job our guide did. We loved it! Would love to take his Kennedy Family history... More

We took this tour at 5 pm on a Saturday and we were the only ones, as I understand the 2:30 is more popular in the spring. Our guide was great and not only gave us lots of information at a good easy pace but was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. He even offered to follow up... More

Most people think of the colonial and Revolution periods when they think of Boston's history, but Ted - my expert, informative guide on this wonderful tour - helped me understand how important Boston was to the Civil War (and pre-war) period of US history. Ted combined two tours for me, in fact, so I also got to see the various... More
