My Father took me to see this area when I Was a little girl, because my Great Grandfather lived around this area. And there is a street here called Acorn Street, rumored to be the oldest street in Boston. The homes here are beautiful and...More

This quiet, little square is Beacon Hill's poshest location. All of the property owners facing the square own the garden. This square is home to former Sec of State John Kerry, who is married to the heiress of the Heinz ketchup fortune.

Grand houses overlooking a private, communal garden - sounds impressive and exclusive. The private-only parking, red brick sidewalk and cobbles add to the scene as do the typical black window shutters.

It's two street east parallel to Charles Street. It has nice houses on either side of the square, and it's historically one of the most expensive ones in the country. If you are taking time to walk Beacon Hill don't overlook this part.

This place is so tranquil. You need to come her in the morning hours. Surrounded by period apartments. Definitely a must.

Robin Cook, John Kerry and others have called this area home. Watch where you walk because the tree roots break up the sidewalk. If you are familiar with some parts of Brooklyn, Philadelphia or Baltimore, you may get a sense of deja vu.

The colored glass is original. The brownstones are breath taking. Christmas time is the best time of year to stroll thru.

Beacon Hill
Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to
soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll
down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your
walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander
through the hilly neighborhood and check out its
exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon
street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and
widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking
