I happen to have visited the MEEI area on several occasions over the last few years. Several local joints have become well established favorites. Architecture wise, it's a pretty area, good for walks.

A wonderful tree-lined street going all the way from Beacon Hill and the Massachusetts State House throughout Boston and into Brookline. On the way, it passes through the public garden, the famous "Cheers" bar (from the TV series), Kenmore square and more. Beautiful area.

Beautiful area, lots of history, wonderful old buildings, easy to walk around (but hilly). Best done when you are going to a destination -- a club, or restaurant, or to the Boston Common -- rather than just sightseeing.

Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to
soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll
down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your
walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander
through the hilly neighborhood and check out its
exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon
street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and
widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking
