Came here on a whim while walking near Boston Common. The bar area is on the small side small but it was earlier in the evening and not very crowded. Good food and decent beer selection, friendly staff- glad I stopped in for a drink and a quick appetizer! An unexpected bucket list item!

If you're visiting Boston you have to come to the Cheers bar. Great food and atmosphere food is a little expensive but it's good.

Stopped by one night in January 2017 for dinner and drinks. We had the nachos to start which were great (lots of cheese!) and burgers w/ fries. We arrived around 5pm to find the place quite busy on a Sunday evening. All the tables were packed, so we waited a few minutes for a table to open. Staff were very... More

It was a must see for us and we made it a point to make it there. I have to say I was very underwhelmed.. Wasn't the cleanest place and the staff weren't the friendliest.. It was pretty busy but we were taken care of right away. We had the calamari for an appetiser ( not to bad but I... More

We weren't intending to eat here but where walking in the beautiful Beacon Hill area and were hungry so went in. The food was surprising good. My husband had the meatballs and I had the portobello mushroom burger. The restaurant is a little grubby downstairs at the back and the air con was on full blast despite it being a... More

This tiny bar place is a famous bar among American fans for the 1990s "Cheers" well known TV series. They even has a shop selling souvenirs for the series but besides that food and beers are only average.

Being a fan of Cheers, this place was a must see attraction when in Boston. It is easy to find after taking a stroll through Boston Common. It's obviously aimed at tourists and that was the crowd when I visited, but I got a place at the bar and enjoyed all of the memorabilia around the place. It isn't like... More

Enjoy the nostalgia of an enjoyable comedy show of the past; a fun bar, nice gift shop and the exterior of the building was used in the TV hit "Cheers". Remember, Ted Danson, Shelly Long, Frasier and the rest of the cast. This is a don't miss place in the downtown Boston area.

Neighbourhood Profile
Beacon Hill
Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking path. Make sure to meander down Charles street to poke into boutiques and antique shops, cafes, and restaurants on this quaint shopping street. Don’t forget to catch a glimpse up close of the State House with its beautiful and iconic dome.
