Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.

Came for a morning visit. Their is a decent playground area for smaller kids, a nice garden arch walkway for strolling, and several benches and picnic space options. Theirs a small monument and nice views of the water front from one side of the park. Great to have lunch or take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We went here based on all the pictures and articles describing Christopher Columbus Park as an amazing Christmas lights display throughout the park and the trellis.
Well the trellis was pretty - but otherwise the park is boring especially at night. Spent 5 minutes here and took a few pictures.

The 5 days we visited Boston were foggy, misty, cool, drizzly and rainy but that didn't keep up from enjoying many of the things this city has to offer. Christopher Columbus park was part of that. This lovely park is located on the waterfront near the Long Wharf and enroute to the North End. Great place to sit and rest, to enjoy the views across the water, the boats, or face the city. Nice green space where folks play with their pups or little kids run gleefully free.

Lots of restaurant and shopping choices nearby.

This is a great public park, that is a wonderful place for families, for picnics, and for relaxing. There is a playground, and a rose garden and even a labyrinth that you can walk. There are also special events that happen throughout the year, such as art shows and movie nights in the Summer.
Visit and relax.

Don't miss the Rose Kennedy rose garden. Beautiful harborside views with plenty of local options. The North end, Fanuil hall, Quincy market and the freedom trail are all nearby.

Also, take a walk past the Chart house restaurant and you arrive at the end of the historic Long wharf.

We visited the park because they had holiday lights on display, unlike many of the other areas that decided to not do it this year because of the pandemic. They had a nice display and it was worth the short walk from the Faneuil Hall area

Christopher Columbus Park is right on the waterfront near Long Wharf. It seems like a very nice gathering space. I like how the city has lights decorating the archways through the park, makes it very pretty. I was there pretty early in the morning on a Saturday and there were not many folks wandering around except for a few runners. It made taking photos easier and cleaner. Great views out to the harbor with restaurant options on both sides. I think Christopher Columbus Park would be a fun place to hang out.

I wanted to visit this park whilst I was in the area and found it very pleasant. There are food carts nearby but best of all there’s some great green lawn and trees to sit under as well as a lovely arched wisteria walkway with benches. It’s a pleasant place to meet someone or stop and rest and watch the ferries come in.
