What a great place to visit. The building is beautiful. There were rare paintings and primary sources going back 400 years! The staff is well versed in history and very helpful.

Since I went to college in the Boston area, there wasn't much that I hadn't done here, but this small museum was perfect. It had some amazing artifacts, was interesting, and was free.

The Massachusetts Historical Society is a beautifully housed and curated institution of learning and exhibition. Lots of information regarding per-revolution times of Massachusetts. Also contains some of the tea from the Boston Tea Party. The Museums exhibits work in timeline fashion. An easy walk to from the other major attractions. Only takes about 45m to an hour to see it...More
