I was so glad to see this memorial in The Navy Yard. It was built in the mid 1990s and pays tribute to the more than 1,500 Massachusetts casualties in the Korean War—and the dozens still missing. Highly recommend visiting if you are nearby.

This is one of a number of war memorials that seem to abound in and around the city of Boston. This is relatively easy to find in that it's down near the seafront. And so if you do come across it do wander on over...More

As you step up to the circle of the statue and names, an audio presentation begins. This is a must for all, especially to learn of the history of this time in America. The granite benches also have messages. It is am amazing memorial park.

Never knew about this memorial until I moved to Boston briefly, but it is perhaps my favorite. It's very sobering, but just a beautiful and poignant remembrance of those who served and who we lost in the Korean War. Came here several times just to...More

Walked there today. Wonderful tribute to long forgotten warriors. Statue, setting, benches and landscaping add to the dignity of the site.

A solider in raingear represents the men and women who were killed in the Korean War. There were plenty of benches – one was labeled with “Valor;” another said, “Peace Be With You.” By chance, I sat at a bench that had an audio display...More

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view
