After touring the USS Constitution, we walked over to the USS Cassin Young. Honestly, we liked this ship better. It was playing nostalgic music from the ‘40’s and it was like stepping back in time. We are only in our 40’s, but absolutely loved seeing...More

The outside of the ship is available for everyone to see. It is okay, more for kids. However, the guided tour was interesting. The tour guide told us a lot of interesting things about the ship and the people that lived and served on the...More

My dad served on the DD220 which was a very similar vessel. It was most interesting to see how he lived for the three years on such a small area. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with all my many questions

The USS Cassin Young was right next to the USS Constitution, so we wanted to see it too. Free to board and view the upper level only. They had a 45 minute tour of the lower decks but we didn't have the time to do...More

What an authentic way to experience being on a Navy ship. The shipmates were very informative and you really got a feel for what it was like to live and work on board the Cassin.

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view
