There was no visitor center, just a monument and graves on a corner in Tupelo. A little disappointing. It was really hard to find, we drove by it several times before we realized it was there.

Do yourself a favor and just keep on driving down Main Street as you pass this "battlefield". The information provided at this site does a serious disservice to the relevance of this battle. As a HUGE civil war history buff, I am sorely disappointed.

This site commemorates the July 1864 Battle of Tupelo. Don't expect much. Unlike other National Park Service battlefields, this one is only 1 acre and you won't see a park ranger there.

During our trip to Mississippi we saw several battlefields and this was probably the smallest but it does not make it any less appealing to see

Small but well maintained site, we needed to imagine that nothing was built up around there. Unlike most monuments and sites, this one is literally a corner of a block in the middle of a neighborhood. The monument itself, along with the interpretive sign, is...More

I am a Civil War buff and if I am in a town that has a museum/battlefield/cemetery, I will usually go see. It is small, but it is still worth the effort.

The Battlefield is interesting with monuments, gravesites and information boards. However, it is very small, on the corner of a very busy street, with very limited parking. Worth a stop if you're in Tupelo.

We have been to so many NBFs & NMP s, we were not expecting this! I suggest they should mention that its just a memorial with a small structure & 2 cannons
