We were pleasantly surprised at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. We went for the Beach Boys concert and had chosen balcony seats since we weren't familiar with the venue. I'm short, so often floor seats are frustrating to me. The theatre floor seats were on a slanted rise and afforded everyone in them a nice view of the stage. If we had known, we would have gotten floor seats. Very nice facility. Seats were comfortable. Our view in Balcony B of the background screen and old movies shown by the band were obstructed by a speaker unfortunately which was a bummer. All in all a great concert thought!

The building itself is really nice. I've played in band concerts there in high school and I've seen a few plays, performances, and a concert there. The concert was Dustin Lynch, and even though I rated TPAC "excellent", it was mainly for the building and the actual stuff happening on stage. I have a few complaints, which I probably wouldn't if I was just there sitting the whole time for a show.
First off, they don't sell food. Just drinks and candy (at least, that's all I ever ran accross). And their card system stopped working. I get it, technology, but come on. Some people never carry cash.
I had meet and greets for Dustin Lynch. It was a mess. There's no note with the passes telling you where to go or when. I'm sure that's the DL management's doing, but if I wasn't around for when an associate told someone else where the meet and greet was and when, I'd never even know. There's poor communication when it comes to that. Really poor. They need to at least have the box office window give us that information so people aren't wondering and trying to find someone to ask.
But those are the only bad experiences I've had there. Just communication and no good concessions.

I have been to several performances and they always get you seated and start the show right on time as well as empty the theatre in nothing flat. Very well organized and the building has plenty of restrooms and accomodations during intermission. Parking isn't a problem if you come early enough and I enjoy the variety of shows that they offer throughout the year.

TPAC is a gem in Topeka. I have seen many performances, shows, and concerts (Cats, The Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, Cirque, Kenny Rogers, Ann Murray, just to name a few) at TPAC and they have all been excellent. Topeka needs to do everything possible to support and keep this treasure and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

went to see Lindsey Sterling, and was surprised to see what a treasure Topeka has, easy to get in and out and very comfortable seating, the only problem i could see is the parking but im not familiar with that area of town, we walked from our hotel room to the show

Great time at the Center seeing Tim Allen. We purchased "obstructed" view seats, but really, the were some of the best in the house. Comfortable. Beverages there were affordable and facilities were very nice. I would go again.

Noel the musical was performed to perfection at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. The cast was engaging & the sound was fantastic. Todd Berkich was Nick (St. Nick) Tess Jonas played “Duchess” so very good! The voices were amazing. What a fun night.

Went to see Styx here and the Venue was fabulous... seating was perfect, acoustics were great, beautiful place!!!! Even bathrooms were very adequate!!! Just disappointed that it was not sold out... my cousin said it never does, that Topeka is not a huge concert place... they should market their shows better... I drove in all the way from Springfield!!!
