LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! It is impossible to see everything in one day, so don't try. There are several museums and plenty of green space. The highlight is definitely the House of Nations exhibit. Try and go on Sundays, some of the houses open up and have cultural treats and plenty of authentic pieces of culture. The International Market has wares... More

Great place to go! There are plenty things to do. A lot of museums of different kinds (Art, Photography, Science), Japanese garden, Organ. They host free organ concerts every Sunday. Beautiful landscaping and architecture. You can grab some food there as well at nice cafe Panama 66 or have a dinner in El Prado restaurant. And visiting the Old Globe... More

I had no idea how beautiful the park is. From the zoo, to the rides, to places to walk, and art shops, museums, no city has a place like all this in easy walking distance. Mind you you will get all the flavor of California's wacky views, with "ask an athiest a question", the hari krishnas, etc but all amusing... More

Being on grandma duty for two weeks, I wanted to plan memorable experiences for my 18 month grandson. Balboa Park had so many choices. We started the day at a Puppet show geared to young children. 2nd we went to the Air and Space Musuem! Wow, we had a ball. Great 4D movies and a wonderful kids area. Then we... More

Sometimes those of us lucky enough to live in San Diego take Balboa Park for granted. Living within walking distance of the park is one of the greatest benefits of owning a home in Hillcrest. Even when just perambulating, I never fail to notice a plant or an architectural detail I hadn't seen before. And I am usually surprised by... More

A very unexpected place in San Diego, many museums, very interstning expostions. The highlights were private collection with free entry with masterpieces dtarting from Renessance, Airoplane /Cosmis exhibition and Japanese garden. Japanese garden has a tea-room with an excellnt non-expensive food. A must in San Diego.

Balboa Park is where the World Famous San Diego Zoo is located, as well as many other attractions including the carousel, where everyone can feel like a kid again. The park is filled with museums and I still haven't made it to all of them but the few I've been to (Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, Natural History Museum and... More
