Great selection of artisans, definitely stop at Studio 3 Don Knapp and Daniel’s coffee while here. Don’s work is beautiful, you can color your own magnets here too and he tells great stories about his work. Reasonably priced.

This is a fantastic area with dozens of small and colorful galleries.
We didn't buy anything but still enjoyed a 30-minute stroll through the numerous galleries.

A very nice village to walk through. There are not a lot of shops there but there is a good variety though. Nice woodworking shops.

Enjoyed meeting the artists and seeing their creations.
I went in September, and unfortunately, it was extremely hot. The tiny shops did not air conditioning.

Highly recommend passing though when you’re in Balboa park. You can see artists at work - pretty much every medium is represented in small individual studios. Definitely a nice way to support local artists and grab a unique souvenir.

In San Diego, we spent one afternoon in Balboa park, which is a beautiful 1,200 acre public park, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
We were amazed by le Spanish Village Art Center, with its very colorful cobblestones and its typical Spanish square surrounded by many interesting galleries and small shops of artists and craftsmen!
Altogether, Balboa park is a paradise in San Diego, with many activities for families and children!!!

I didn't know about this place until we found it while walking from a bus stop near the zoo to the Botanical House area. The village itself had a very relaxed atmosphere and I loved the Spanish architecture. The art on display was great to look at and there is plenty available for purchase. The location made for a nice surprise on our day trip and I would recommend others visit!
