Overview
More
Founded in 1916, the Zoo has been an icon in San Diego for nearly 100 years—and an absolute must-see in Southern California. Spend the day monkeying around in our tropical oasis as you visit beautiful habitats that are home to gorillas, eagles, tigers, sun bears, Asian leopards, rare reptiles, a palette of colorful birds, and more. Visit the Australian Outback to delight in our colony of 24 koalas, and travel along Panda Trek to experience giant pandas and other animals that share their bamboo forest habitat. Go back in time through Elephant Odyssey to discover what animals used to roam Southern California and see what the elephants are up to. Enjoy a guided tour on a double-decker bus or the scenic view from the Skyfari aerial tram, and dine in the peaceful surroundings of Albert's Restaurant. Discover the wonders of wildlife with animal encounters, interactive experiences, and keeper chats. A leader in animal care and conservation, the San Diego Zoo is at the heart of the San Diego experience.

If you'd like to pay about $200 to walk 5km through a nicely landscaped environment, see a handful of animals, spend a bomb more on water then, by all means go ahead! The only redeeming feature was the sky fair, the cable car ride, running...More

Although this would be our second visit to the Zoo, we found it just as pleasant and fun as we did on our first visit. Very good staff and tons to see. Certainly a must attraction when one visits San Diego.

Best zoo anywhere and we visit zoos "everywhere". We get annual passes and I take my grandson there often to play at the children's playground/area. It is a bit hilly. The staff take xlnt care of the animals. Wonderful time to be had by all

Went to the San Diego zoo yesterday. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. We first took the 40 minute bus tour around the zoo. It was very informative and helped to know where certain exhibits were. We also rode the sky tram and...More
