Mission beach is a perfect place if you're looking for a fun and unique atmosphere. There was never a dull moment and it's a beautiful area. Best time to go is when there is a farmers market going on, great food and local attractions!

This is the best beach in San Diego in my opinion. Easy access my car or public transportation. Fun amusement park area. Spacious boardwalk for all to enjoy. Lifeguards available for swimmers and surfers. Lots of sand space for sunbathers and people to play ball....More

We went in November, did not enter water. Watched surfers, waves, sunset. Beautiful! Had lunch just off beach, delicious fish tacos.

This is a very long and sandy pbeach which has many shops and eateries nearby. We watched a beginners class on their surfboards on sand before they hit the ocean. Many appartments overlook the beach in what seems a nice beach area.

This beach is beautiful and huge. You can walk forever. It’s located in a nice area with small shops and places to eat. I highly recommend going there.

Nope. Frowned upon. Try Ocean Beach or Del Mar. Both have great dog beaches
