Old Town is the perfect place to start and end your Trolley Tour. There's many excellent restaurants to choose from. We loved Mexican Cafe maybe the most. Their fresh tortilla's are a must! Plan on doing a little shopping, there's great brick and morter stores,...More

We always love to visit Old Town when in San Diego but have never been there around Christmas. For a Friday night it was surprisingly quiet and low key. The local restaurants were hopping but Old Town itself was a bit scarce. Killed some time...More

A bustling lively place, plenty of small shops selling a variety of products such as art, clothing, jewelry, as well as coffee shops, bars & restaurants. Easy to get to via the trolley, and an easy way to pass a morning or afternoon

An interesting place to stroll around and read or experience and explore the history of San Diego which is very interesting. There are shops galore and restaurants too many to mention. Worthwhile when in the San Diego area.

We came here as part of our day in San Diego. What a great place to visit with both young or older folks. I loved the people, they were so friendly, courteous and helpful. The shops were great to visit. I really enjoyed the cigar...More

If you enjoy history and learning about how the United States was settled, you will enjoy this park. Lots of history to learn. My only disappointment is I’ve been here twice and both times the school house has been closed. Lots of cute little shops...More

This is a fun place to come, walk around, learn a little history, and have a great meal. I’ve been going here since I was a little girl and it really hasn’t changed.

We stopped here because it was close to our hotel. If you like touristy shops and Mexican restaurants this would be a good place to go. A bit boring for our adventurous style. Good place to pick up the old town trolley to head into...More

Lots of shops, museums and great Mexican restaurants. Stop A of the trolley tours. District is not too large to walk - but is a bit hilly, like lots of San Diego.

What a lovely place! There were times I felt I was in Mexico and times that I was part a Western movie. It's a place that will take you on a time travel with many shops for souvenirs and some nice restaurans too. It's worth...More

Hope you are still looking for advice as this is a bit late. San Diego is relatively small, so you can see a lot. Definitely see Coronado Island and Hotel del Coronado as well as the beach. Old Town is a must as is Balboa... More
