Lots of shopping and dinning in Old Town. We kind of stumbled on the area. We took our teenage Daughter back with us the following day. Ate lunch and had a couple of beers at different restaurants. We shopped around the stores and found some pretty good bargains. All in all it was a good afternoon.

Old Town San Diego is more of a tourist trap than a recreated village. We heard the food is good but decided not to stay long enough to find out.

Enjoyed looking around adobe home from 1830, old courthouse, bank. There's shady tables and benches in main plaza. Has many shops and restaurants around the area. Parking can be difficult to find. Also visit heritage park where old Victorian mansions are found to east end of area. They are not open for tours but interesting to read their history.

Really Great to visit. Worth to walk around in and feel the old vibe. Don't buy much souvenirs there because they charge too much

This is the first town that was populated by the Spanish so it has an interesting historical past. The old buildings have been retained and you can get an impression of how it looked when it was established. Of particular interest is the cigar shop which I imagine looks and smells as it did back then. There is also a... More

This was a good place to explore for an hour or so but nothing special, lots of little tourist shops and bars but not much more.

Wonderful shops, cafes sprinkled about, and the occasional historical museum like display. Great place to spend the afternoon exploring unique shops and treats.

Even though the old town is well preserved, it is so crowded that getting around is difficult. Parking is hard to find and the streets are narrow.

This is the third time we have visited San Diego and each time we choose to come back to visit this quaint, historic, cultural, festive area of the city. It's worth taking most of the day to look around and enjoy the historic buildings, shops, food, and activities offered. If you visit the park there is free parking available and... More
