Old Town San Diego is a fun place to spend the afternoon. The heart of old Town is the centralized park - surrounded by historic buildings, unique shopping, dining, lodging and history. The main Street is lined with commercial shops with touristy souvenirs. But don't miss the Whaley House - I recommend taking a self guided tour and visiting the... More

We enjoyed our brief visit there. I wouldn't make a special trip out of my way but I'm glad it was convenient and accessible. Parking in San Diego leaves a lot to be desired, however. We did take advantage of valet parking and that was a good choice. I would't make a special trip to go there again but I'm... More

I always learn more each time I visit. This is great for tourists, local families, a great date location and always gives you something interesting to learn and discuss with out of town visitors.

Many things to do with our grandchildren. We shopped, we ate, and they were able to dip their own candles. It was a fun day

This is worth a visit as the ambience is good and there is plenty to see and there are plenty of restaurants to have a snack. When we went most of the public rest rooms were closed for some reason so it was a hunt to find one open. If you are staying in down town San Diego I would... More

We were a bit hesitant to look around as it seemed a bit tacky. But we were so wrong! The staff in some of the shops were super friendly! The gardens just designed and laid out beautifully with lots of succulents. The old buildings were great to look around in and we had a great afternoon and will be going... More

I have been walking through Old Town for my whole life. Not much ever changes. The scenery is nice. Good people watching, lots of average Mexican food. I still enjoy every visit and I leave wondering why I don't come here more often. parking can be tough, just like everywhere else so you might as well take an UBER. That... More
