Great beach for walking and swimming or sunbathing, although sea can be a little hairy at that time of year. Great boardwalk, piers and surrounded by eateries and hotels nearby.

I enjoyed watching everyone frolicking on the beach - also watching the surfers. Lots of fun shops and restaurants all along the waterfront. Paved for easy walking or biking.

It is fun place with a lot of character! Terrific beach for lounging, running, water sports of all kinds with a mix of locals and visitors. There is a paved road for walk/runners between the houses and the beach with bike lane down the middle....More

Great beach area. The entire "PB" area is vibrant with young people and lots of food/beverage choices. My son lives in the area so I visit there often. Great place to get a cocktail and "people watch." Try the "Firehouse" restaurant and bar. Very cool...More

I'm far more familiar with Oregon coast beaches than California, so I couldn't help but compare when visiting the San Diego area beaches. It's much warmer here, and that's nice, but the beaches are much dirtier than I'm used to. There is just a lot...More

Spent a great full day at PB~~~ everything from good waves to excellent tide pooling at the north end. The beach is broad, clean and no rocks. Plenty of food choices just over the road.

Pacific Beach offers several restaurants and shops. There is also a walk path along the beach that makes it easy to stroll or ride a bike. The beach offers cliffs and level areas that allow for beautiful scenery.

Beautiful sandy beach was lively today with the temp close to 80. Plenty of room for beach games and for children to play. Numerous surfers taking advantage of some decent waves. Plenty of restaurant options and the usual souvenir shops also. There are hotels on...More

Pacific Beach has lots of families with a good portion of college age "pick up" beach goers. There is the typical boardwalk lined with small restaurants and stores along the length of the beach. We walked off the beach into... More
