What a fascinating place to visit. If you are interested in any aspect of aviation, this is the place for you!! The San Diego Air & Space Museum is one of the largest aviation and space exploration museums in the nation and it has a most impressive collection of aircraft. The museum is located in Balboa Park and is organized... More

A good experience with 7 and 5 year old boys, but missed the Observation Deck, which would have been most fun! The 4D movies were fun for our 7 year old, the planes, and retired Naval Officers who greeted the boys were great! Also the little room for youngsters was interesting, the 5 year old especially loved that but was... More

Lots of aircraft to see on board. This is your chance to see quite a bit of the inside of an aircraft carrier. They have a self guided tour you can do for most of it and a guided view of the bridge.

Went here on our way to San Diego Zoo while walking through balboa park. It didn't cost too much to enter. It was amazing to see some old planes.

As an aviation dork, I was able to totally go around and geek out! Cools planes, working engine demonstrations, and more. Was really neat but having been to the smithsonian in Virginia and D.C., it was hard to compare the completeness of the collection or the shear size. Very nice museum. I would go again.

This is on the small side but it was chock full of memorabilia and history. It was very nicely done and clean. It's convent to hit a couple museums if you spend any time in Balboa Park.

Well organized history of flight from the beginnings with 3D videos, interactive displays and plenty of help to define what you are seeing. I could have spent all day in the WW1 and WW2 areas including a screening of Tora, Tora, Tora...

Since I'm married to an aircraft mechanic, I knew I'd get lots of info beyond what was printed up on the placards at the museum. The museum is rather small, but well curated. The space travel area will fascinate you, if you like space travel. Enjoy it!

Nice museum, but small, with a lot of replica planes. I have been to several Air & Space museums, which were far better than this one. I can only rate this as average. If this is your first, than I believe you will enjoy walking around. I thought the admission was quite high for what I saw, but after all,... More
