Want a fast & fun whale watching experience, without the crowds, and with a much less likely chance of getting motion sickness? Here at Adventure RIB Rides, we seat 6 people per boat so you are never fighting for that seat leaning over the rail like many larger boats.

We are the only YEAR ROUND whale watching company!

Our ocean excursion on the Authentic NAVY SEAL R.I.B. (Rigid Inflatable Boat) provides an adventure to remember as we race through the ocean finding all types of marine wildlife there is to be seen with captains whom are extremely experienced and passionate about marine life and the history of Sunny San Diego.

Our boats are all authentic Navy Seal Team R.I.B.s purchased from Navy Seal Team 1 here in San Diego.

Explore the marine life on some of San Diego's historic boats with us!

Met with Captain Clint for our trip. He advised that this time of year was hit or miss for whales but would most likely see dolphins and sea lions. The rhib was big and comfortable and handled rough water with ease. Capt. Clint took the time to explain everything about the boat and safety measures along with talking about what... More

Amazing tour. We did not see any whales but did see a large pod of dolphins. Certainly one of the highlights of our trip. Just don't drink 2 cups of coffee before boarding.

We didn't see any whales and I think this time a year they don't see many. They told us before we left that they have only seen 2 whales in the last week. I don't think they should advertise it as a whale trip this time of year. We did get to see a big pod of common dolphins which... More

This is my family's first time to watch whale and other ocean animal on a opening ocean. But we have watched nothing but water. Maybe we are not so lucky. But I still very regret on that. Blue whale may be a little hard to meet. But even the wild dolphin and shark are not been watch. That's too....sad.

Our Guide Brooks was very good. He explained all the animals we saw and also the difference between seals and sealion. Unfortunately, we didn't see whales. But a huge group of common dolphins. It was very exciting. Thank you very much

We're local , and I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my 2 young adult sons and my best friend and her 12 year old daughter. The boat ride is fast , fun, and exciting. It offers spectacular downtown and harbor views not seen from other vantage points. Best of all, we met up with a mega pod of dolphin!... More

We made a reservation to go on a whale watch with this company via their web site. The boats they use are called RIBs, which I think stands for Rigid Inflatable Boat. They can only take up to 6 people due to the size of the boat. The web site tells you over and over again that you need to... More

We went on the morning trip last Friday and saw lots of dolphins playing, it was amazing to see them up close. They were riding the bow of the boat so we got a really good view of them all, can't describe how much fun it was to see them in their natural habitat jumping out of the water and... More

We booked with Adventure RIB Rides on Wednesday, July 13th for the 1 PM tour. We had a wonderful time. Our captain (can't recall his name, unfortunately) was friendly, funny, and very accommodating. He pointed out several of the sights as we made our way out of the marina (Navy SEAL training of sea lions and dolphins, the boat used... More

We took the 9am tour last week. We did not see a whale but did see a large number of dolphins and one shark. Our guide, Clint, was very friendly/knowledgeable and went a great distance on the ocean in an attempt to see a whale. Unfortunately the water was quite choppy and the skies were hazy. Limited visibility. Two members... More
