This was a great tour. Nice pace, good food and a great overview of Liberty Station. Will bring us back. Solares is especially noteworthy.

To me, food tours are a wonderful way to explore a city, to learn interesting things about your surroundings, and to taste delectable eats from hidden gems. My sisters and I did the La Jolla tour and, while the food featured was good, the tour itself was lackluster. The first stop (Ohana Cafe) was amazing, and the rest was just...good.... More

We toured North Park with Hank yesterday. We had a good group - 8 people, mix of out of town visitors like us and people living in San Diego. We deliberately did the tour early in our trip, so we could revisit some of the spots later in the week. We will definitely be back to the cheese place/Bottleshop, Splash... More

First, the tour is called Bite san diego downtown/little italy. In this tour you only visit 5 restaurants in downtown. Our first restaurant was really good, Royal India. Delicious indian buffet, really tasty food. I regretted not have eaten more there, because after that it was not good. The second stop was Berkeley Pizza right next to Onnyx Club. I... More

While the food on this tour was excellent, the history and walking part fell a bit flat. Maybe there's not a lot of history in La Jolla. I've done tours in Chicago and San Antonio and other major cities where the guides had a ton of cool info to share. On this one, we spent a lot of time walking... More

Very fun thing to do to get to know San Diego better! I have lived in San Diego for almost 40 years but learned some new facts about it's history and got to enjoy some good food at the same time! Thanks Hank!

The only part of the tour I was not crazy about was the Oil company the rest was amazing. I also booked a tour die San Diego and Little Italy food was amazing... More

I've twice taken out of town guests on a Bite tour. This is a super fun way to spend an afternoon. While not a meal, the food samples are generous, the tour guides are very attentive, and they share fun history and local information.

Excellent variety of venues. Hank was extremely professional yet friendly and knowledgeable. Just the right amount of historical background and stories. The only thing I would add, on a personal note, is a place with some good wine. However, I'm used to that not happening on a foodie tour so it was not my expectation. We went on the North... More
